RESUMEN
Se realizó un estudio descriptivo y transversal de diez pacientes con VIH/sida del área de la Policlínica Universitaria Alex Urquiola Marrero del municipio Holguín, en el período enero 2010 hasta enero del 2011, con el objetivo de hacer un pesquisaje de tuberculosis pulmonar. Las edades más afectadas oscilaron entre 20 y 34 años, con predominio del sexo masculino. Los síntomas más frecuentes fueron: tos, expectoración y febrícula. No se diagnosticó ningún caso de tuberculosis, pero se aplicó tratamiento quimioprofiláctico con isoniacida, a 15 mg /kg de peso al total de la muestra. El objetivo general de este trabajo fue dar a conocer y explicar de las causas y consecuencia del VIH/sida y tuberculosis, que de una manera u otra mostró como las personas pueden ser contagiadas, así como, contagiar a los demás. También explicar las pruebas a realizar para comprobar si una persona está contagiada y reinfectada por la tuberculosis, causa de información a todas las personas infectadas y al personal de salud para resaltar la atención especial que se le brinda a estas personas en nuestro país pues se cuentan con varios programas de apoyo que fortalecen la creación y funcionamiento de los grupos de prevención sida-tuberculosis.

ABSTRACT
A descriptive study of ten patients with HIV / AIDS of the University Polyclinic was performed at Alex Marrero Urquiola polyclinic Holguin, in the period from January 2010 to January 2011 with the aim of doing a screening on pulmonary tuberculosis. The most affected age ranged between 20 and 34 years, predominating the male sex. Cough, sputum and fever were the most frequent symptoms. No case was diagnosed with the condition mentioned above, but chemoprophylactic treatment with isoniazid, 15 mg / kg of total weight applied in the sample. The objective of this work was to present and explain the causes and consequences of HIV / AIDS and Tuberculosis, which in one way or another showed how persons can become infected and infect others. It also explained the evidence for checking if a person is infected and reinfected with TB. Special attention is given to these people in our country that provide several support programs strengthening the national health system development and operation of the AIDS-prevention groups tuberculosis which embody the struggle against the epidemic, public participation and health staff actively in the various educational activities.
