RESUMEN

 

 Durante más de seis siglos nuestro país ha estado utilizando en esencia las formas tradicionales de medicina, hecho que ha estado presente en todas las etapas de su historia aún cuando no existía el concepto de médico o de medicina en nuestra geografía y solo se utilizaban las tradiciones pasadas de generación en generación con el uso de medios naturales curativos que desde las plantas y otros medios medicinales, métodos terapéuticos y tratamientos, hasta los factores subjetivos y místicos. Elementos que han llegado hasta nuestros días, hecho que corrobora su eficacia aún cuando hoy existe una medicina altamente tecnificada, objeto de importantes adelantos científicos.   En nuestro país hay una medicina de carácter social y con un nivel y rigor científico que compite con las naciones más desarrolladas, no obstante hay un fuerte arraigo y conocimiento de métodos de carácter popular como los antes expuestos sin embargo no siempre está presente el elemento cultural que lo envuelve ni existe un dominio de la importancia de su correcto empleo y razones científicas que lo hacen perdurable, incluyendo el elemento psico-místico.

 ABSTRACT

 

For more than six centuries our country has been using essentially the traditional forms of medicine, fact that has been present in all stages of its history even when there was no doctor or medicine concept in our geography and only used the traditions of the past generation in generation with the use of natural curative means that from plants and other medicinal meanstherapeutic methods and treatments, to mystical and subjective factors. Elements that have reached our days, fact which confirms its effectiveness even though there is now a drug highly tech object of important scientific developments.

In our country there is a social and medicine with a level and scientific rigor that competes with the more developed nations, however there is a strong roots and knowledge of methods of popular character as the above but not always is present the cultural element that wraps it or there is a mastery of the importance of their correct use and scientific reasons that make lasting, including the psycho-mystical element.
