Evolución de pacientes asmáticos con inmunoterapia de extractos alergénicos de ácaros
Evolution of asthmatic patients with immunotherapy of mite allergen extracts

RESUMEN
Se realizó un estudio descriptivo para determinar la evolución del tratamiento en pacientes con Asma bronquial leve persistente y moderada persistente con inmunoterapia a los ácaros Dermatophagoides pteronyssinus, Dermatophagoides siboney y Blomia tropicales, atendidos en el Servicio de Alergia del Hospital Pediátrico Universitario de Holguín de enero 2009- enero 2010. La muestra seleccionada se dividió en dos grupos de acuerdo al resultado de las pruebas cutáneas con los extractos de ácaros, los pacientes positivos al Dermatophagoides siboney y Blomia tropicales, (grupo 1) y el positivo al Dermatophagoides pteronyssinus (Grupo 2). En ambos grupos predominó el sexo masculino y los menores de catorce años. El Asma bronquial leve persistente en el Grupo 1 y 2 predominó en las edades de 9 a 14 años. La evolución de los pacientes en ambos
grupos a los seis meses y al año de la inmunoterapia fue de Bien. Las reacciones adversas fueron solo locales y mínimas con un total de 3 pacientes para un 12% y predominó en el Grupo 1.

ABSTRACT
A descriptive study was performed to determine the evolution of treatment in patients with bronchial asthma mild moderate and persistent with immunotherapy to mites Dermatophagoides pteronyssinus, Dermatophagoides siboney and Blomia tropical, served in the allergy service of the University Pediatric Hospital of Holguin January 2009 - January 2010. the selected sample was divided into two groups according to the results of skin tests with extracts of mites, positive patients to the Dermatophagoides siboney and Blomia tropical, (Group 1) and the positive to the Dermatophagoides pteronyssinus (Group 2). Both groups dominated male and fourteen children. Persistent mild bronchial asthma in the Group 1 and 2 predominated in the ages of 9 to 14. The evolution of the patients in both groups at six months and a year of immunotherapy were good. Adverse reactions were minimal and only local with a total of 3 patients for 12% and it prevailed in Group 1.
