RESUMEN

 

Se realizó revisión bibliográfica con el objetivo exponer la efectividad del Ozono en los diferentes tratamientos estomatológicos. La bibliografía fue tomada de la Universidad Médica de Holguín, de 92 bibliografías encontradas se utilizaron 18 y del Sistema Computarizado de Medicina, de 35 bibliografías encontradas se utilizaron 4. El Ozono es un producto germicida, casi natural, de amplio espectro, este medicamento ha pasado satisfactoriamente pruebas toxicológicas, teratogénicas e histológicas con resultados satisfactorios. La mayor cantidad de autores consultados coinciden que la ozonoterapia es sumamente útil contra muchas afecciones estomatológicas, factible, económica y de fácil asimilación y que no debe ser considerada como una medicina alternativa, sino natural, con la que se consiguen iguales o mejores resultados que los obtenidos con los tratamientos convencionales. Este producto ha sido utilizado con éxito en varios tratamientos estomatológicos entre los que se encuentran, alveolitis, gingivoestomatitis herpética aguda, estomatitis sub-prótesis, procesos aftosos y conductos radiculares infectados entre otros  y más recientemente en el tratamiento de las caries de tercer grado, en dientes temporales.

ABSTRACT

 

He was literature review in order to expose the effectiveness of ozone in the different treatments of implants. The bibliography was taken from the Medical University of Holguín, of 92 found bibliographies were 18 and of the computerized system of medicine, of 35 found bibliographies were 4. Ozone is a broad spectrum germicide, almost natural product, this medication has satisfactorily passed toxicological tests, teratogenic and histological with satisfactory results. The most consulted authors agree that the ozone therapy is very useful against many conditions there, feasible, economic and easy to assimilate and should not be considered as an alternative, but natural, medicine that get equal or better results than those obtained with conventional treatments. This product has been used successfully in several implants treatments which include, alveolitis, acute herpetic Gingivostomatitis, sub-protesis stomatitis, working processes and canals among others, and most recently in the treatment of the third degree, in deciduous teeth caries-infected.
